2022/23 Romain Grosjean Signed Race Used Andretti Autosport IndyCar Helmet
Race-used Bell helmet worn by Romain Grosjean during the 2022 IndyCar season while he was driving Andretti Autosport’s No. 28 DHL Honda entry, replacing the outgoing Ryan Hunter-Reay. The helmet was used in many races, including Gateway. It also has a 2023 tech sticker on it as it was used in 2023 preseason testing with Andretti Autosport.
The Swiss-born French driver has had success at all levels including winning the 2005 Formula Renault Championship, the 2007 Formula 3 Euro Series, the 2008 & 2011 GP2 Asia Series Championship, was the 2010 Auto GP Champion, and won the 2011 GP2 Championship before spending 9 seasons in Formula 1. In his final start at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, Grosjean survived a horrific crash and it’s been well documented that the car’s halo and the advancement in technology of his race suit literally saved his life. During his time with Renault, Lotus and Haas F1, he would finish on the F1 podium a total of 10 times. Grosjean collected his first career IndyCar pole and first podium after only his third start, and currently stands at 4 podiums and 1 pole at time of writing.
The helmet comes directly from Romain and he has signed it in black marker pen, as well as adding the moniker, ‘The Phoenix’, in reference to him rising out of his flaming car in Bahrain..
The helmet comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
