2018 Pato O’Ward Signed Race Used Championship Winning Andretti Autosport Indy Lights Suit
Sparco suit worn by Patricio ‘Pato’ O’Ward during his Championship winning season in Indy Lights in 2018. Pato is highly regarded as one of IndyCar’s next — if not current — rising stars.
After beating Andretti Autosport teammate Colton Herta for the 2018 Indy Lights Championship, the two were announced as teammates at Harding Steinbrenner Racing for the next IndyCar season. However, sponsorship failed to materialize and O’Ward was released before the season began.
O’Ward spent part of the 2019 season with Carlin but failed to earn a starting spot in the Indianapolis 500. Without a full-time ride, he went to Japan’s Super Formula Series, where he raced against Alex Palou. O’Ward’s big break came for the 2020 season when Arrow McLaren SP made him one of its IndyCar drivers, alongside fellow Indy Lights Champion Oliver Askew.
O’Ward, who was born in Mexico and raised in Texas, has gone on to do some special things in the No. 5 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet, winning his first two IndyCar races in 2021. And, he has taken a liking to Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s oval, finishing sixth and fourth, respectively, in his first two “500” starts. He was names Rookie of the Year in the 2020 event. Known for his quick hands, O’Ward figures to be leading the way in IndyCar for years to come.
O’Ward has signed the suit in black marker pen on the chest, and the suit comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
