2018 Marco Andretti Signed Indy 500 Practice Helmet

Original Used IndyCar helmet, boots and gloves worn by 3rd generation Andretti during the Month of May at Indianapolis in 2018.

This special design helmet with 102nd Indy 500 logo on the back was used by Marco in practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

A keen collector of helmets himself, this state of the art Bell HP-7 EVO II Carbon helmet is a special one to come out of Andretti’s hands. The beautiful helmet paint work done by Indocil Art replicates the famous Mario Andretti style chevron over the top of the iconic silver color and the famous Andretti name painted on the side. The American flag was first added by his father Michael and Marco brought in the famous brick design to keep the tradition with his own modern mark.

This is a very special opportunity to own a current IndyCar helmet used this season which is fully complete with original used visor, tear off, hans clips and original hats off safety device.

The helmet was one of two helmets set up for a wicker test. The wicker angles are changed on the helmets to get better aero numbers and especially at Indianapolis as many different helmet configurations are tried before qualifying. After it was worn by Andretti the heli tape and MA logo sticker was applied. The helmet remained as a back up until after Indianapolis 500 Raceday. The original radio was removed and the helmet was hand signed by Andretti after his pole and 4th place finish in Detroit. Full COA and photo of Marco Andretti signing the helmet are included.

The worn 2018 white Omp boots are Individually signed, dated and also has Marco’s race number added. The used white OMP gloves have also been Individually signed.
