2018 Lewis Hamilton World Championship Race Worn AMG Mercedes F1 Gloves
Race used Biotech gloves worn by newly crowned 2018 Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
Worn while Hamilton piloted his Mercedes AMG PETRONAS M09 V6 car at the United States Grand Prix in Austin Texas. His 3rd plate finish gave him the points he needed to extend his lead in the World Championship. In the following round Hamilton would win his fifth world title.
These gloves show heavy wear and have a manufacture date of September 2018.
The White Puma Motorsports Gloves have the IWC Watch Company, watch and lettering branding to individual gloves both also have the ‘Lewis Hamilton’ logo. The left has glove has the Biometric sensor attached and both have all FIA safety standard labels. Palms are black with grey gripper rubber. Cuffs have the Puma manufacture printed label.
Biometric Gloves were introduced in 2018 for the first time at the first race of the season the Australian Grand Prix. The gloves were to be worn by every F1 driver and monitor their vital signs during the race via a flexible 3mm sensor stitched into the palm area of the fabric.
