2011 Michael Schumacher Race Used Mercedes GP Petronas Schuberth F1 Visor
This Schuberth visor was on Michael Schumacher’s helmet during the 2011 Formula One season, the penultimate year of the German’s great racing career.
Schumacher, who had a four-year layoff following his world championship run at Scuderia Ferrari, had some interesting moments during those final three seasons with what was then Mercedes’ return to Grand Prix racing. That season Schumacher became the oldest driver to lead an F1 race since Jack Brabham in 1970. Schumacher was 42 years old at the time of this drive with the Mercedes GP Petronas F1 team.
Schumacher also had a famous duel with a still-young Lewis Hamilton in the Italian Grand Prix that season. It was only for fourth place, but the battle showcased the sport’s past versus its present, and obviously its future.
Remarkable in Schumacher’s career are the facts he won 29.7 percent of his 306 F1 races and earned the pole 68 times (22.2 percent).
