2009 Bud Kaeding USAC Sprint/Midget Car Race Used Helmet
Helmet used by USAC Sprint and Midget Car ace Bud Kaeding, a third-generation member of the incredibly successful Kaeding racing family. Father Brent and brother Tim are both multi-time champions. Bud has had a career driving both non-winged and winged cars in Australia, as well as in North America. He has won over 60 races on Indiana and Californian tracks. He’s also been crowned USAC Champion multiple times and is also a multi-cup winner.
This well used Bell helmet shows all the scars of battle. Its black, red and silver graphic ‘Flame’ design has been photo-matched to the one used by Kaeding for his full 2009 campaign driving Sprints and Midgets in the U.S., including the Chili Bowl, and Australia. This race-worn helmet is a great piece of open wheel memorabilia, used by one of its modern day champions.
This helmet comes from the famous Ron Burton Collection. The helmet is one of 170 helmets which were on display at the famous Union Jack Pub in Speedway (Indianapolis) Indiana. Ron Burton is a famous artist who often traded his paintings with drivers for one of their helmets. We are proud to offer this unique collection of many one-of-a-kind helmets and artwork.
The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
