2005 Jacques Villeneuve Signed Race Used Spain/Belgium/San Marino GP Sauber Bell HP3 F1 Helmet
This Bell HP3 helmet was used in three Formula One races by Jacques Villeneuve during the 2005 season, including the San Marino Grand Prix in which the 1997 World Champion finished fourth. Villeneuve also wore this helmet in the Belgian and Spanish GPs. The 2005 season was the first of two for Villeneuve with Sauber. His stint in F1 would end the following year in 2006.
Jacques Villeneuve had a long racing career competing in several difference series along the way, beginning with CART (1994-95) and F1 (1996-2006), with stints in the NASCAR Truck Series (2007), the NASCAR Pinty’s Series (2009 – 2013), the NASCAR Xfinity Series (2012), the NASCAR Cup Series (2007 – 2013) and even Formula E (2015-16).
Villeneuve won the 1995 CART season title, including the prestigious 1995 Indianapolis 500, as well as Rookie of the Year honors in both categories the year before in 1994.
The colors Villeneuve used for his helmets were particularly vibrant, and this one is no exception. The blue mixes well with the pink forming the familiar letter “V” on the side, and the yellow and red bands are signature Villeneuve as well. The helmet bears a Petronas sun strip on the visor.
The helmet comes directly from Villeneuve’s personal collection and is signed by the French Canadian.
The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
