Race-used Bell K1 helmet worn by Jacques Villeneuve, the 1997 F1 World Champion, at the U.S. Grand Prix in Indianapolis and the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka in 2002 while racing for the Lucky Strike BAR Honda team.

These were the last two races of the 2002 F1 season, after which the helmet was then updated with 2003 helmet details, with a Honda branded visor attached and a Lucky Strike sticker added to the chin. The helmet was subsequently used at Valencia pre-season testing for the 2003 F1 season.

The helmet shows nice race wear, with the radio still installed, and the visor having a few tear-offs still attached. The vents are taped off and the eye port has extra foam added as per Villeneuve’s usual helmet spec. The helmet has a Japanese and USA flag on the back denoting which GPs the helmet was used at, as well as having 2002-14 written on the back, denoting it was the 14th helmet prepared for Villeneuve for 2002.

The helmet has been signed by Villeneuve on the visor in black marker pen, and it comes with its original Bell helmet bag marked JV 2002-14, matching the numbers on the helmet.

The helmet comes directly from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and has a Certificate Of Authenticity.

Don’t hesitate to add this fantastic race-used helmet, from Canada’s only F1 Champion, to your helmet collection today.
