2000 Jimmy Vasser Target Ganassi Indy 500 Ron Burton Original Artwork
A Ron Burton ‘work in progress’ that depicts Target Chip Ganassi driver Jimmy Vasser in his Oldsmobile powered G-Force car, crossing the yard of bricks during the 84th Indianapolis 500 in 2000. In the background of the work is the winged wheel that has become the iconic trademark of ‘the racing capital of the world’ the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The work is one famed Indianapolis artist Burton never quite got to finish, but we at Hall of Fame Collection think that this adds to the work and shows some of Ron’s methods when composing work, and you can just make out all Ron’s sketch lines under the paint. The works medium is acrylic paint on a 36 x 18 stretched canvas. This is the first time this stunning artwork has been publicized and this would not look out of place in any collection.
Comes with a full Certificate of Authenticity.
This work comes from the famous Ron Burton Collection. Burton was a famous Indiana artist who often traded his paintings with drivers for one of their helmets. He also completed many commissioned works for race teams, drivers, and Indianapolis businesses and eateries many of which are still on display to this day.
