1993/94 Marlboro Team Penske Tara Tracy Worn Pit Suit
Marlboro Team Penske pit crew firesuit made for and worn by Tara Tracy the then-wife of Canadian racer and IndyCar star Paul Tracy. Tara would have worn this suit in the pit area while her then-husband drove in the 1993 and 1994 Indianapolis 500 races. Paul drove three times in the Indy 500 for Team Penske and it was in ’93 and ’94 that his crew would have worn the red uniforms/suits and so the team would have provided Tara with this matching suit.
The mint condition Simpson suit comes in the ‘Penske’ red and has the teams Philip Morris ‘Marlboro’ tobacco logos prominently displayed. Series sponsor’s PPG patch is on the right chest. Tara Tracy’s name is embroidered onto the waist belt.
An unusual piece of Team Penske Indy 500 race memorabilia, made more appealing by the full tobacco sponsorship logos.
The suit comes with a full Certificate of Authenticity.
