Didier Theys is a two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona both in 1998 & 2002, a winner of the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1998 and the winner of the 24 hours of Spa in 1987. Theys’ first appearance would be at Le Mans in 1982 and his final appearance would come at the world’s most famous endurance sports car race 20 years later in 2002. Regarding CART, Theys competed in the CART IndyCar Series from 1987 to 1993 with 47 career starts which includes three appearances at the Indianapolis 500 three times in 1989, 1990 and 1993. He finished in the top ten 10 times in CART and his best career finish was a third-place finish in Miami in 1988.
