Aria helmet was worn by the ‘Flying Hawaiian’ Danny Ongais. This helmet would have been worn by Ongais during his stints racing for the Ted Field Interscope racing team. The team was running Porsche 935’s and Lola T600’s and Ongaias was often teamed up with co-driver Ted Field. This duo had many podium finishes including three victories. Ongais was also a skilled competitor behind the wheel of IndyCars and NHRA Drag Race cars.

This all silver helmet has Ongais name on either side as well as an oval Arai decal. There is also an Aria decal above the grey visor peak attached to the helmet.

This helmet comes from the famous Ron Burton Collection. The helmet is one of 170 helmets in which were on display at the famous Union Jack Pub in Speedway (Indianapolis) Indiana. Ron Burton was a famous artist who often traded his paintings with drivers for one of their helmets. We are proud to offer this unique collection of many rare helmets and artwork.
