He competed in a total of 117 Grands Prix, winning 12 and achieving 24 podium finishes. In 1978 Jones also went on to win the Can-Am Championship driving a Lola.
Jones is also the last Australian driver to win the Australian Grand Prix, winning the 1980 event at Calder Park Raceway
The helmet was used many times that season and has been photo matched at the following 5 events:
- German Grand Prix (1st)
- Austrian Grand Prix (1st)
- Dutch Grand Prix (1st)
- Italian Grand Prix (9th)
- Canadian GP (1st + pole and fastest lap)
Jones would go on to finish 3rd in the Drivers’ Championship that year, behind the two Ferrari’s of Jody Scheckter and Gilles Villeneuve.

Here is an unbelievable opportunity to add one to your collection and one that had Four Grand Prix victories to its name!
The helmet comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
