1975 Brian Redman Formula 5000 Championship Original Ron Burton Artwork

A great piece of original Ron Burton artwork depicting Brian Redman’s Formula 5000 Championship winning Lola T332. The multi-disciplined British driver had driven in Formula 1 and was an incredibly successful and respected Sports Car driver. In the early ’70s Redman moved into the SCCA/USAC Formula 5000 Championship and won it three times in a row from 1974 to 1976 against considerable opposition, including Mario Andretti and Al Unser. Driving a Jim Hall/Carl Haas entered Lola, Redman won four races and notched other podium finishes to take the title in 1975.
This acrylic on canvas composition was started in the late ’70s by Ron Burton to commemorate Redman’s win. This piece of work is one that Burton had left unfinished. Hall of Fame Collection has recently commissioned young Canadian artist Abriella Sammy to complete this work.
The canvas approximate size is 24 x 15 inches.
