1971 Marlboro 300 Trenton Miller High Life Original Ron Burton Artwork
This original Ron Burton artwork was commissioned by the Miller Brewing Company to be used in their advertising campaign for their Miller High Life beers. Copies of the work were produced in poster format with Miller advertising overlaid and mounted into faux wood plastic frames to be sent out to bars, clubs, and stores countrywide. The framed posters are now highly collectible and bring a respectable price.
This is a one and only chance to own the original advertising artwork for these posters. The medium Ron used was chalk crayon on velvet surfaced art paper. The work captures the start of the 1971 Marlboro 300, held at the 1.5 mile Trenton Speedway. It has the cars taking the green flag at the start of the race, with Bobby Unser (the eventual race winner) leading the field with Mark Donohue, Steve Krisiloff, Al Unser, Gary Bettenhausen and the rest of the field following on.
The image size is 26 x 20 inches (66 x 50 cm)
This painting comes from the famous Ron Burton Collection, many of which were/are displayed around many famous Indianapolis establishments including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Many team owners and drivers have acquired Ron’s works over the years.
This would look fabulous hanging in your collection or man cave.
