Now Sold1963 Ken Miles/Lorenzo Bandini Signed Rare Canadian G.P. SportsCar Championship Program
Race day program from the 1963 Canadian Grand Prix. The race was held at the Mosport Park Circuit in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada for the Pepsi-Cola Trophy. The race was round 9 of the Canadian SportsCar Championship. The hundred lap event featured top-line drivers from around the world that included Graham Hill, John Surtees, and Lorenzo Bandini. The winner of the race was Mexican driver Pedro Rodríguez driving a V12 Ferrari 250 P for the North American Racing Team.
What makes this program unique is its cover that has the very rare signature of Ken Miles on its top-left corner. The British driver is associated with the Shelby-American/Ford Racing program that was set up with the express goal of beating the Ferrari Team and winning Le Mans. This story is the subject of the recently released movie ‘Ford v Ferrari’ (Le Mans ’66). The program cover also has the signatures of drivers Lorenzo Bandini (also rare) and Skip Barber. The entrant’s line up page has the signature of David Piper. The Program is in excellent condition for its age and, even though it shows wear, all its pages are intact and none are torn.
It comes with a full Certificate Of Authenticity.
