1955 Sir Stirling Moss and Juan Manuel Fangio. ‘The Train’ Signed Limited Edition Print
‘The Train’, a monochrome limited edition print signed by two of the greatest Grand Prix drivers in history of motor racing, Sir Stirling Moss and Juan Manuel Fangio. The print is also signed by the famous motor sport artist, Alan Stammers. The print’s subject shows both of these great racers in their Mercedes-Benz W196 race cars during the 1955 Belgian Grand Prix. Fangio and Moss were team mates during this season and regularly could be seen dicing it out while driving wheel-to-wheel during races. Together they became known as “The Train” and, in this depiction, Fangio was victorious on this particular occasion with Moss coming second.
These prints were the only edition to bear the signatures of both Fangio and Moss.
This print is one of only 750, which have been long sold out, but we were fortunate enough to acquire a small amount of these limited edition prints and expect them to sell out fast.
Please note these prints were produced in 1993 and may show some signs of wear and tear, but are still in good condition to be framed.
The size of the print is 34” x 26” (86.3 x 66cm) and comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
